Description: “Inspired by being pregnant, Alexander Calder’s mobiles, the organic forms of Dinosaur Designs and the abstract expressionist painter Max Gimblett, I started to create mobiles. As I started I was reminded of an educational legend “I believe this passionately: that we don’t grow into creativity, we grow out of it. Or rather we are educated out of it” Ken Robinson. I decided my mobiles would be kinetic fine art, open ended and for all ages. Planets align evolved as the shapes started to orbit around each other like planets in reaction to the red dot.” Katie Blundell 2014
