Adding Up – Exhibition 2015

“Recently my family and I made a big life change, moving from the city to my home town of Clevedon, where I am now a Full time Artist and Mum.  ‘Adding Up’ is an active reflection through art making on life, choices, values and what is essential. Inspired by Greg McKeown’s book ‘Essentialism’, this body of artwork explores the possibility of doing less, better.”               Katie Blundell Artist

My motivation for writing this book came from a memory of a conversation I had with my Grandpa at a young age. He said he did not believe in Happiness. From that point on, I set out to prove him wrong. I spent a lot of time searching before Finding Happiness within myself. I value this life learning and I would like to pass it on to my son Harry.

I am an exhibiting Artist, with a Master of Fine Arts from Elam, University of Auckland. I had a wonderful time creating this book and I hope you enjoy it too.
